Robin L. Waldroop, President and founder of CMESELL.com has been in the real estate industry for over 40 years, when, at the age of 18, Robin became the youngest person to pass the Washington State Real Estate Licensee exam and become a licensed real estate agent in the State of Washington.
Robin has lived, with her husband Bob, in Kitsap County, for the last 25 years. Before that, Robin lived and worked in Jefferson County, selling real estate in Port Townsend, Port Hadlock, and Port Ludlow.
Robin found time, after many years selling real estate, to experience life as a college student, first attending Olympic College in Bremerton and receiving an Associates of Arts and Science degree from Olympic College. Robin also had the honor of being the Class Speaker for her graduating class at Olympic College. Robin then received a BA in Political Science with a Minor in History in just 10 months while attending the University of Washington in Seattle.
During the last 25 plus years in real estate, as Robin specialized in real estate throughout several counties in Washington State, she focused on first-time home buyers, land acquisition, residential rental properties, and property management, as well as listing and selling homes, land, and rental properties to many happy and satisfied customers.
Over the last quarter-century, Robin has witnessed much change taking place in the real estate industry itself as well as in the real estate marketplace. The pendulum has swung from “Buyer Beware” and no specialized training needed to get your real estate license in Washington to present day rules regarding licensing laws, Buyer’s Agents and The Law of Real Estate Agency. These are just some of the many changes that have taken place in the real estate industry!
There was a need to provide an alternative network of resources for people to buy and sell real estate, using the new technologies that were entering the real estate market. These new technologies, such as the Internet and Multiple Listing Services, started to play an ever-increasing role, allowing people access to real estate information they need to make their own intelligent marketing decisions. Robin was one of the first real estate agents to market her properties on the Internet – using such sites as Yahoo.com, when it was still in its infancy.
After Robin retired from actively selling real estate, she wanted to find a way to bring the vast resources of training, expertise, knowledge and love for the real estate industry that she had gained to help others sell their homes and property. Robin sought to present an avenue through which her 40 years of expertise, professionalism and experience could be integrated with those sellers who, through their own skills, knowledge, and incentive, desired to sell their property themselves.
